Look at family patterns. How may a behaviour or thought you have relate to a long standing family habit or way of coping? Genes are not the only family gift you are given, behaviours are too. Check in. What does and doesn’t work for you. Just because something has been done a certain way consciously or unconsciously for so many years, doesn’t mean it’s the right way or the way that will help you be the best person you can be. I wrote more here a couple of years ago. Changing yourself can also help those around you change.
